Our Story
Sharlene’s Start
Our journey begins with About Staffing’s Founder, Sharlene Massie landing her first role in the staffing industry! While working as a Business Development Representitive at a large international staffing agency, she began to fall in love with the world of staffing.
The Beginning.
1994
This is the year Sharlene Massie started her entrepreneurial journey opening her first agency!

About Staffing Is Born!
1996
Sharlene Massie was living in a hotel room, with nothing but gritty determination and client support. Â She had three young sons, a cell phone, fax machine, and two part-time employees. Â She took the company from a few hundred dollars to a few million in a very short time.

A significant milestone in the growth of About Staffing, our industrial division is launched. We expanded our scope to offer additional services for our clients.
The Calgary Flood
2013
Despite the Calgary Flood destroying our headquarters, our company showcased remarkable resilience. We quickly adapted, relocating from our downtown office to various temporary spaces, including the CEO’s kitchen and offices donated by loyal clients. After a year of this, we successfully returned to our original space, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to continuity and progress.
