ABOUT STAFFING supplies top quality candidates to our clients and excellent career opportunities to our candidates. Our SW client is seeking a temporary Cook for a one-week assignment for vacation coverage.

ABOUT the Organization
This client is in the Childcare industry and offers daycare services for up to 75 children ages 1 to 4 years. They are located close to Bow Trail in the SW, and the location is easily transit accessible.

ABOUT the Position

The successful candidate needs to be available for a training day on March 8, and then work the week of March 11-15, 2019. Times are: 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday.

The Cook will work with a planned menu, and all food will already be at the location.

Responsibilities include food prep, cooking and cleanup in a full commercial kitchen. All food is placed on trolleys and taken to classrooms, not a lot of interaction with the children is required.

ABOUT You

We are seeking a sincere individual who is experienced in handling kids meals and prep. This is a busy role; someone experienced with meal prep for children is preferred, but experience cooking large meals daily is essential

Must have valid Food Safe Certification. You will be asked to present this and have on you while working. You must also be able to pass a criminal background check, as About Staffing will provide this for you to complete.

Ideal candidate will have catering or institution experience, or have worked at a restaurant with large parties for children involving a large quantity of kids’ plates. Organization will be key, as well as kitchen competency as they have a fully stocked, industrial kitchen.

$18.00 per hour
