The Calgary Chamber of Commerce exists to help businesses reach their potential. As an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 1891, we build on our history to serve and advocate for businesses of all sizes, in all sectors across the city.

 

Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association

CIWA is a non-profit organization established in 1982 as a registered charity. CIWA is a culturally diverse settlement agency that recognizes, responds to, and focuses on the unique concerns and needs of immigrant and refugee women, girls, and their families.

 

Centre For Newcomers

The CFN has been a key resource for immigrants and refugees in Calgary since 1988. They are a social profit organization that views the integration of newcomers as a two-way process, between newcomers and the communities that welcome them.

 

ComIT

ComIT is a charity that aims to develop a community that links people struggling to overcome employment barriers with companies looking for talented IT professionals.

 

The Immigrant Education Society

The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that has been serving Calgary for over 30 years. They’ve become an integral part of Calgary’s immigrant-serving community and continue to strive to give newcomers and low-income Canadians the opportunities to find their rightful place in our city.

 

Immigrant Services Calgary

Since 1977, Immigrant Services Calgary has been providing a wide range of settlement services to immigrants and refugees looking to begin a new chapter of their lives in Canada. Their aim is to facilitate a smooth transition, proper settlement and successful integration into the Calgary community.

 

Inclusity

They are working vigilantly so that Indigenous People have equitable access to jobs, training and education opportunities in response to the TRC’s Call to Action #92.  As an ally, we are motivated to help Indigenous Job Seekers to connect with opportunities for work and find a fit for themselves within progressive companies that support Indigenous inclusion, employment and retention. 

 

JOBSHIFT

At JOBSHIFT, they’ve taken on the challenge of helping job seekers across the country. They believe there is a particular way to job search; a strategic step-by-step approach where job seekers can stop hunting and start strategizing. “To empower all job seekers – from unemployment to employment – and every step in between.”

 

John Howard Society

John Howard Society focuses on filling an important role in public education, community service, and pressing for reform in the criminal justice area. “Effective, just, and humane responses to the causes and consequences of crime.”

Momentum Calgary

Momentum is an organization with the goal of community economic development. They work with individuals, businesses, communities, and systems to increase the income and assets of individuals to create a thriving local economy for all. “At Momentum, we believe in people.”

 

New Canadian Friendship Centre

The NCFC is a non-profit organization that aims to assist newcomers by providing friendship and practical help to adjust to life in Canada. This includes providing ESL classes, Citizenship classes, sewing, baking, a Children’s program, and other classes and workshops.

 

NPower Canada

Provides participants with free in-demand digital and professional skills training and connects them to new and rewarding career opportunities. NPower provides employers with access to a pipeline of eager, diverse, and job-ready young talent.

 

Outlink Calgary

Calgary Outlink is a community-based, not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing support, education, outreach, and referrals for the 2SLGBTQIA+ and allied communities in Calgary, Alberta.

 

Pride At Work

Through dialogue, education and thought leadership, Pride at Work Canada/Fierté au travail Canada empowers Canadian employers to build workplaces that celebrate all employees regardless of gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
